Quizzes & Exams

 

 

If you experience issues while taking a Scientific Trunk Quiz or Exam via Examplify, please remember that we have never met a testing issue that we have not been able to resolve, and our team is here to support you!

Please contact ExamSoft Support at (866) 429-8889, ext. 1. If needed, they will give you a ticket number to provide to our E&A on-call staff member.

  • ExamSoft Support is open 24/7 for Assessment support, more serious issues may be elevated to Tier II Technical Support (Monday-Friday 8:30a-8:30p).
  • Generally, you will have only a ~1-3 minute wait to reach a representative. If you are on hold for 10 minutes please disconnect and move to Step 2.

Step 2 (if issue not resolved in Step 1)

If ExamSoft Support recommends you reach out to the school for support, email the E&A team at medexams@umich.edu

  • Business Hours: Weekdays 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • On-call hours: Friday from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from noon – 9:00 p.m.

Emails about testing issues received during on-call hours that need a response to allow testing to continue will receive a response within 15-30 minutes. Emails about testing issues received outside of these on-call hours will receive a response when call hours resume the following day. Emails about non-testing issues will receive a response during our usual business hours. 

 

 

Issues with your school-provided device should be directed to HITS Support (phone: 734-936-8000)

DO

  • Always remain calm and remember that technical issues can be fixed!
  • Reach out for support as soon as you notice an issue so we can help preserve your time. 
    • For Scientific Trunk students, please see the section above re: on-call support.
    • For Clinical Trunk students, follow the instructions from your clerkship coordinator and the Evaluation and Assessment team. Note that you won’t use the Exam Monitor or Exam ID functionality for any assessments in the Clinical Trunk/Branches. If you have any questions, please contact medexams@umich.edu.

DON'T

 

  • DO NOT copy, download, or photocopy quizzes or exams or quiz / exam questions in ANY way. This includes the use of "print screen" features on the computer, creating PDF files of a quiz or exam, or using a camera phone. This includes copying the feedback pages. These actions are all against the Honor Code.
  • DO NOT write your test answers on a separate piece of paper. Students were advised to do this in previous years, but it will not be necessary with Examplify.
  • If you email medexams@umich.edu or your Course Director about a specific question, refer to the question number only. DO NOT copy any part of the question in your email.
  • If you have problems viewing images, DO NOT guess and enter a response. Navigate forward and back to reload the question.  If the problem persists email medexams@umich.edu.
