Student Fitness & Recreation

Medical Students have multiple fitness and recreation options available to them. 

These include:

1)     U-M Recreational Sports
All enrolled students at the University of Michigan have access to U-M Rec Sports facilities.  For more information about the Central Campus Rec Building (CCRB), North Campus Rec Building (NCRB), and Intramural Building (IM), please visit the Rec Sports homepage found here.

2)     Medical School Student Fitness Center
In partnership with Medical School Facilities, a small fitness center and accompanying shower room is available for medical school student use on the second floor of Medical Science Building II.  The fitness center is located in room 2802 and is equipped with cardio and resistance machines, as well as weights.  The shower room is located in room 2803 and has 4 individual bathing/dressing areas as well as lockers for short-term use.

 All medical school students interested in using these facilities are required to review the usage guidelines and complete the waiver.  Signed waivers may be returned to omesanswers@umich.edu

3)     UH South Wellness Center
All clinical medical students (M2 Clinical Trunk, M3 Branch, and M4 Branch) are eligible for memberships at the UH South Wellness Center as of September 1, 2019.  The fee is $10/month.

To join the UH South Wellness Center (8th floor, UH South) email UHSouth-wellness@med.umich.edu and indicate you are a M2, M3, or M4 medical student. Once staff from the UH South Wellness Center confirms your eligibility, they will send you a link to complete registration. When you have signed up with your payment information, your MCard will be activated within 1-2 business days thereby providing you with access to the space. 

Once enrolled, all contractual obligations, including payment and membership suspension or cancellation will be the responsibility of Wellness Center members.
