IR Residency Training, Independent

  • Duration of training: 6-7 years; 1-year Internship, 4 year DR residency, 2 year IR residency (which can be reduced to 1 year if ESIR pathway is utilized in DR residency)

  • Number of entering residency positions per year: About 160
  • Type of Match: Occurs while in DR residency
  • Overall competitiveness: Extremely Competitive.
